NCG - Non Commutative Geometry

I like the thinking of Alain Connes on the fine structure of space time. It is a fundamental geometry that generates inner fluctuations of the metric that match to gauge bosons. It is somehow more appealing than Witten and others like Penrose who talk about strings or twistors. By being non commutative time is also invoked as a fundamental.
